The pig metal, an essential raw material, formed from the iron ore through the smelting process in a blast furnace. Pig metals usually contain 3.5% to 4.5% of high carbon content, which makes them highly fragile materials. So, they cannot be used directly in the structural process. Besides carbon content, pig iron also includes other crucial elements such as manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and silica, which have a direct effect on iron’s features and applications.
